ARFwas chosen to receive a Community Foundation grant for the rescue program
totaling $2500! Sixty pets were helped with this money with five pets receiving
special vetting, three of which were transported and two adopted. Six transports
were funded with these funds, taking orphan pets to forever loving homes!

What a wonderful weekend for rescue! February 23 saw 20 pets go to rescue by van. February
24 five more furbabies left Jackson County Airport via Pilots-n-Paws. Thank you pilots Nathan
Wasser and Kristen Seaman, rescues that are second to none, Jackson County Animal Shelter,
and ARF volunteers! When it takes a village, a village responds!

What a nice thing for Ripley Middle School students to do for the animals at
the shelter! Look at everything they brought! The National Junior Honor
Society students collected each day and brought the supplies to the shelter.
The doggies and kitties were immediately enjoying new treats and toys.
